London Film Walk
Take a 2-hour walk around the City of London on our exciting London Film Walk! Guided by local film buffs and enthusiasts, you will see over 30 different film locations in the City of London.
This walking tour visits some of London’s most famous locations and landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral, the Bank of England, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London.
As you visit each of the locations that have featured in well-known movies, you will see how London has played host to lots of much-loved children’s characters. You’ll see where Winnie the Pooh played nap time and where Mary Poppins and the Banks children tried to save their home. You’ll hear how it was impossible to keep it a secret when the Muppets came to London and how large crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the famous frog when Kermit bravely broke into the Tower of London! The tour takes in locations from Paddington Bear and the Minions as well as action-packed heroes including Spiderman, The Mummy and Men In Black: International.
As you walk around you’ll hear anecdotes about the making of the films, and behind-the-scenes snippets, such as the time when Tom Cruise broke his ankle while filming Mission Impossible 6. With the aid of the latest technology, you will be able to stand on the exact film location and see a clip of the scene from the movie through your own smartphone device (app requires downloading before the tour).
Your knowledgeable tour guide will explain why these locations were picked and some of the challenges that filmmakers face when filming world-famous characters in some of London’s iconic locations.
During this family-friendly walking tour, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take photos and find out about the real locations within the City of London. You’ll soon understand why our country’s capital attracts some of the biggest names in cinema.
After enjoying our London Film Walk, make sure that you look out for each of the locations that you visited next time you watch any of the family-favourite movies that are discussed during the tour.
